Terms of Service — CatalogGuard

Last updated: September 23, 2026

By installing and using CatalogGuard on your Shopify store, you agree to the terms described below. For anything related to data accessed or stored, see the privacy policy.

Service description

CatalogGuard scans a Shopify store's product catalog to detect data issues (missing weight, image without alt text, invalid price, permanently out-of-stock listing, duplicate SKU or title, missing SEO metadata, thin description, product with no image or no collection, inconsistent weight units) and displays the results in a dashboard embedded in the Shopify admin. The app is read-only and never modifies your store's content.

Subscription and billing

CatalogGuard is offered as a monthly subscription through Shopify's built-in billing system (Shopify Billing). The price, billing frequency, and free trial length in effect are shown at install time and when approving the subscription in your Shopify admin — that information is authoritative, not this page.

No charge occurs during the free trial period. After the trial ends, the subscription renews automatically at the stated interval unless you cancel.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time by uninstalling the app from your Shopify admin, or from Shopify's billed-apps management page. Cancellation takes effect immediately; no refund is issued for the period already underway, unless Shopify's own billing policy states otherwise.

Service availability

CatalogGuard is provided "as is", without guarantee of continuous availability or absence of errors. Occasional interruptions for maintenance or updates may occur. No service level agreement (SLA) is guaranteed at this stage.

Limitation of liability

CatalogGuard is a detection-assistance tool: it flags potential issues based on automated rules, but does not guarantee complete detection or the absence of false positives or false negatives. The operator of CatalogGuard cannot be held liable for business, data, or sales losses resulting from the use or inability to use the app, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Termination by the operator

The operator reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the app in cases of abuse, fraud, or violation of these terms or of Shopify's platform rules.

Changes

These terms may be updated to reflect changes to the service or legal requirements. The date at the top of this page reflects the version in effect. Any substantial change to price or billing remains governed by Shopify's approval system, which notifies you before any change.
